Bella jumps from the cliff

I like the film "New Moon"in the Twilight series. In this scene Bella contemplates suicide by jumping from a cliff. The underwater shots show Bella sad, quiet and the immediate danger. The background is dark with bubbles, the calmness is like death. The vampire she loves appears as she starts to drown. I like the romanticism associated with death and love, the powerful yet simple themes. The water creates a perfect stillness yet a clear danger. This gave me the idea for a photo. I'd like to use my boyfriend as the model underwater acting lifeless and still. I think that the addition of a red rose against his body will help to signify love.

Marjons Shoot 1 - Bubbles

These images are taken from the first swimming pool shoot. Although they are not perfect I am pleased with the result. Some of the pictures lack focus and the background is not ideal. I like the use of bubbles and not see that I will need to take extra care and think about the background as well as the subject, ensuring the subject is in focus and the background does not detract attention away from the subject.

Post Production Shoot 1

This image is taken from the first pool shoot. I wanted to shoot above the water at low level, exploring the surface of the water and the way in which light is reflected as the water moves. Using Photoshop I enhanced the levels to bring the rich blue colour through and sharpen the image. I added a bit of contrast and a vignette to add focus on the subject and tidy up the background where the wall was in the top of the frame.
